We lost power for about 30 hours, not bad considering others in our area lost power for 5 or so days.
It was pretty cold in this area for this time of the year. We had a kerosene heater at least, others had generators and then some didn’t have anything. In situations like this heat makes all the difference.
A lot of businesses were closed for a day and the state government was closed for two days.
There was some damage from falling trees, I knew one person who’s car was totaled and reports of homes being damaged.
This was all minor compared to what happened at the New Jersey coast and New York. In our area we really have nothing to complain about.

I actually had a pair of trick or treaters - first time in six years. Of course, their grandma called first before bringing them over.
Well we only got one but I think the "superstorm" Sandy kind of cancelled Halloween this year.
Did you guys get hit very bad?
